After the interesting and informative outline of the activities of the Mississauga foodbank by the speaker, Meghan Nicholls, last month, a tour of the Mississauga Warehouse has been organized. The tour is scheduled for Tuesday November 24th at 10 am. The tour length should be about 1 hour. All attendees are advised to wear closed-toed shoes.

The warehouse is located at 4544 Eastgate Pwky, park in front of the warehouse or south of this at 4540 Eastgate Pwky. A donation box will be available for those who wish to make a small donation to the foodbank.

Toyota Plant Tour

On October 22, there were 25 Probians involved in a tour of the Toyota plant in Cambridge, one of 3 plants in Ontario. Security was very tight with all being checked off before entering and no cell phones allowed inside the plant. It is a big complex as expected including many robots including ones driving parts to various destinations. This plant produces Lexus vehicles only ordered by customer from dealers. Very impressive overall.

Toronto Blue Jays
August 13, 2026

Here we were sitting in the shade on the Third Base Side. The view was terrific. What could be better?

After all the Jays had just beat the Red Sox in the first three games. It was like last year, when you had that feeling no matter the situation we could somehow come back.

The game started ok with Max Scherzer pitching 5 innings and allowing 1 run. Then the bobbles and the “no bats” and before long it was 7 zip- can’t win em all!
